So, how to tag someone on TikTok? Let’s see! 

Tagging someone on TikTok

TikTok allows you to tag another user in the comment section or caption. So, here I will explain both methods to you.

Method #1: In the Caption

• Go to your TikTok app and access your account
• Click the plus (“+”) icon at the bottom
• The camera page will open. Create your TikTok video by tapping the red button, or upload a video by tapping the “Upload” button
• Tap the “Next” button
• Add your video description and hashtags
• Next to click “#Hashtags,” tap the “@Mention“ button
• If you wish to tag someone, search for the username of the person and tap on their profile
• If you notify their username will start with the “@” symbol, it means you’ve tagged them

Method #2: In the Comments

Also, TikTok offers another method to tag someone by mentioning them in the comments section of the TikTok video you’ve uploaded or of other content creators. 

1. Go to the TikTok app
2. Tap the “Following” or “For You” tabs, at the top of your home page 
3. Find out the video that you wish to mention your target person
4. Tap the comments icon below the heart icon
5. Tap the “Add comment…” box
6. Type your comment and tap the “@“ symbol on the right
7. Tap the send button to add your comment
8. Now, if you tagged a person in your video, they will receive a notification for you
